How Our Woven Blankets Are Made
Our blankets are created using a jacquard weaving process, where the design is woven directly into the fabric using 100% cotton yarn — not printed on the surface.
Because the artwork is formed by blending colored threads, each blanket has natural texture, depth, and a timeless, heirloom look. Colors will appear softer and more muted than digital images, and slight variations in detail are part of the weaving process.
The result is a durable, high-quality blanket designed to be used, displayed, and treasured for years.
Care & Color: What to Expect
Color Appearance
Because your blanket is woven from cotton yarns rather than printed with ink, the finished colors will appear softer and more muted than digital artwork or screen images. Bright or highly saturated tones may look more subdued in person. Slight variations in color and detail from one blanket to the next are a natural part of the jacquard weaving process and are not considered defects.
Washing Instructions
- Machine wash cold, gentle cycle
- Use mild detergent
- Tumble dry low, or lay flat to dry
- Do not bleach
Woven cotton may soften and develop a more relaxed texture after washing — this is normal and part of how the fabric breaks in over time.
Color Care Tips
For the first few washes, we recommend washing your woven blanket separately or with like colors. This is a common precaution with dyed cotton textiles and helps protect both your blanket and other items in the load.
Avoid hot water and high dryer heat, as these can accelerate color fading over time. Cold water and low heat are the best ways to keep colors looking their best wash after wash.
